Ochra Residence is a residential project located in Likovrisi, Attica, consisting of two maisonettes developed across four levels. The ground floor accommodates a pilotis with parking spaces and the first maisonette, which extends to the first floor. The second maisonette occupies the second floor and the attic, where a roof garden with panoramic views is created. The building’s volumetric organization and spatial arrangement are defined by the plot’s proportions and orientation. The living areas are positioned towards the local street, opening onto generous balconies that establish a direct connection with the exterior environment, while the sleeping areas are organized toward the rear of the plot, ensuring privacy and functionality.

The building’s volumetry follows a cubist design, composed of clean geometric forms that articulate the interior functions. The materiality of the elongated side façade is characterized by alternating beige plaster and comb-textured ochre surfaces, which break the building’s solid mass and add depth and tactile richness. Metal railings are strategically placed in relation to openings, introducing rhythm and visual continuity, while integrated planting enhances the dialogue between architecture and nature, adding vitality and character to the overall composition.

The interior design adopts a contemporary minimal aesthetic that conveys warmth and a sense of familiarity through the prominent use of wood. The same architectural principles of volumetric design are reflected in the interior, where pure geometric forms organize distinct functions. The living, dining, and kitchen areas form a unified, light-filled, open-plan L-shaped layout, with large openings that emphasize natural light. A monolithic approach to materials and subtle detailing reinforces a sense of coherence, balancing functionality with aesthetic refinement.

In the maisonette spanning the ground and first floors, wood acts as a central compositional element, integrating functional features such as storage units, kitchen furniture, and a laundry area into a unified wooden volume that defines the space. In the upper maisonette, occupying the second floor and attic, the wooden element takes on a more sculptural quality, functioning as a statement piece within the living area. The bedrooms follow the same design language, featuring custom-built desks and integrated storage solutions. The color palette combines earthy tones with touches of soft blue, creating contrast and visual interest while fostering a calm and balanced living environment.
